Enthusiastic Creator of Many Cool and Sometimes Quirky Software Products
Hey there! I’m Ron – a bit of a tech chameleon, juggling roles as a software polyglot, I'm a web wizard, musician, and former dance enthusiast, all while living on a little rock in the North Atlantic, better known as Great Britain.
With nearly four decades of battle scars in the commercial software trenches, I've had the thrill of crafting top-notch products for some of the UK’s finest and companies across the globe. I’ve also taken a few entrepreneurial joyrides, spinning up micro-businesses from thin air, and just happen to own one of the largest treasure troves of Resell Rights products on the web.
These days, I’ve teamed up with fellow tech veteran Phil Spilsbury to whip up some groundbreaking tools. When I’m not knee-deep in that, you’ll find me tinkering with my own projects, like bringing retro arcade games back from the dead and indulging in other offbeat creations. Let’s revive the classics!

A Trip Down Retro Gaming Lane
My coding saga kicked off way back in 1983 when I was a teenager tinkering with home computers in their infancy. Armed with an Acron Electron and later the legendary BBC Microcomputer, I plunged into the world of BASIC and assembly programming.
Business software? Yeah, right. I was all about game development. I'd wait impatiently for the latest issues of Electron User, packed with program listings. Hours were lost (and a few hairs too) as I meticulously copied code into my machine. After battling typos and the occasional urge to chuck the computer out the window, I'd finally get it running—only to dive right into hacking the code, adding my own quirky twists and features. That’s how I cut my teeth in coding!
Fast forward to now, and the nostalgia bug has struck hard. I'm back in the game—literally—writing new titles that blend the charm of retro classics with a dash of modern flair. Come along for the ride as we journey back to the golden age of gaming

A Little More About Yours Truly
Back in the day, before tech took over my life, I snagged a Gold Award in tap dancing and even dropped a Christmas album. But then retro computing stormed into our homes, and everything changed. Fast forward a few decades, and I'm now a proud Member of the British Computer Society and a Chartered IT Professional.
By the late '80s, I was already knee-deep in the world of business software, cranking out code for one of the UK's biggest energy companies and getting my hands on some of the first personal computers to ever hit the scene. Those were the glory days—back when Lotus 1-2-3, dBase III, and Micro Focus COBOL were the magic ingredients behind the groundbreaking first generation of point-of-sale tech for PCs.
Since then, I've had my hands in all sorts of tech adventures! I played a part in saving the world from the dreaded Y2K bug back in the '90s, crafted some of the very first browser-based apps, created an early mobile app to make SIM swapping a breeze, and even swooped in to save a newspaper distribution company from leaving your morning paper stranded.
Over the years, I've worked in many sectors for a diverse range of companies and clients including ABN Amro Bank, AIM Capital, Bloomberg, British Gas, Deutsche Bank, DHL, Geac Computer Corporation Ltd, Greene King, HCL Technologies, IAW Resources, Infor Enterprise Software, Inforalgo Information Technology Ltd, ING Investment Management, JBA Software, JPMorgan Chase, Rocky Brands, Sandvik, Trade team, and many more.
And on top of all that, I've built plenty of my own projects and micro-business, and hopefully added a bit of my humour and personality into each one. It's been a thrilling ride, and I wouldn't have had it any other way!
